DANDY (1970)
18 year old Dandy sets out for California with dreams of becoming a model but unfortunately is led down a road of degradation and eventually prostitution. Dandy is the only film from director R. Charleton Wilson. His star Cynthia Denny didn't fare much better with her only other role in the Ed Wood vehicle Love Feast getting uncredited. Her co-stars went on to much higher profile roles. John Alderman had parts in the cult films Superstition and New Year's Evil and David Roya as Bernard in Billy Jack.
Dark Force recovered the previously lost original 35mm camera negative that had been unknowingly sitting in an LA lab for years. Fortunately the negative was in excellent condition, other than a few minor minutes of water damage due to moisture. The new 2K scan with extensive color correction has finally resulted in the best quality rendition of this picture currently on the market since its original theatrical release in the early 70's.
